  Yes, I agree. The water physics model in Halo 3 is incredible. In fact, most of the visual elements in this game are fairly astounding given that they’re all rendered in real-time. That’s part of the reason for this Wallpaper series (i.e., to show other people how the game looks). I guess the reason Halo 3 is so visually appealing is that it is both nearly photo-realistic and, at the same time, stylized to be an illustration in motion. The single player gameplay, not so hot. But, the visuals are stunning.

  i can’t get enough of dying and having my head go underwater and it sounds just like dunking your head in – all other noise stopping for the breif submersion

  It’s funny, when you’re in Theater Mode, and you dunk the camera underwater, it also stops the sound. MInd you, it’s just the camera, not an actual player. Although, I know the movies are a replay of the recorded gameplay. So, in a sense, it is playing the game all over again. It’s just funny that the camera is affected by the audio just as a player is.
